Don’t Pick Your Tomatoes on a Dark Moon Night
In your lifetime, you will usually only come across several teachers who will leave their body effect on you for the rest of your life. One of those experiences for me was in twelfth-grade physics class at Suffern High School in Suffern, NY. Our teacher, may he rest in peace, was Mr. Gerritt Zwart, and on one fine spring day in 1962 he showed our class an experiment that I’ve never forgotten.
On the front desk of the lab where we held our class were two cigar boxes, upon each of which were mounted a xylophone key. One key was middle C, and the other was high A. When he struck the one with high A, we heard its distinctive “Bingggg” tone in front of us. When he struck the middle C key, we heard “Bongggg” in front of us, and several seconds later, “Bongggg” from behind us, at the rear of the room.
He struck the keys again; “Bingggg” in the front, and than “Bongggg” in the front and “Bongggg” in the rear.
How did he do it? For a whole 45 minutes of the period, he questioned us, promising an A for the class
that day, for anyone to explain the phenomena of the second “Bongggg” coming from the rear of the room. No one could figure it out.
Finally, after immense frustration, he went to the rear of the room at the end of the class, and from behind a screen, he took out another cigar box, also mounted with a middle C xylophone key. When the one in the front was struck and its sound waves moved through the air, it sympathetically also made the one in the rear start vibrating, and we all heard the second sound. The frequency of the middle C key affected its sister middle C key, but did not resonate at all with its dissimilar high A key.
This is exactly how radio waves work. Somewhere on a high tower or mountain in your city, there are signals being broadcast at specific frequencies. When you set your radio dials to exactly the same frequency as a particular station, the coil in your radio starts vibrating with that particular sympathetic tone, and the amplifier in the radio turns it into audible sound. If you’ve ever seen the mountains or towers where your town keeps it broadcast towers, there are usually 20 to 30 towers, all next to each
other, and none of them interferes with the next, because only the specific frequencies resonate with themselves in your radio when a particular frequency is chosen.
Actually, the same thing happens within our bodies, when are chosen.!!!!
Somewhere within our cells are receptors that resonate at a particular frequency, that are sympathetically similar to substances that also vibrate at that same frequency. When that similar substance “vibrates” within your biological system, your individual “similar” remedy stimulates its internal counterpart, just as the xylophone key in the front of the room resonated with its counterpart
in the rear of the room.
That is why the correct remedy has an effect and the incorrect remedy has no effect!!! They are as different as middle C is from Mr. Zwart’s high A keys!!!
We shall now turn to another force in the Universe; The magnetism of gravity between celestial bodies AND other physical objects.
It is well known that the closest celestial body to the earth is the Moon, and that its orbits the earth on a daily basis has an effect on the oceans of our planet, creating the phenomena known as tides. As the Moon is directly overhead, the magnetic effect of the Moon can raise the ocean as much as 20 feet! As 6 hours go by and the Moon moves on, the waters fall back and the levels drop. There are two tides every day, as the high levels are also created on the exact opposite side of the planet from where the moon is, as the ocean waters of the earth are contiguous; when it’s high at 0 and 180 degrees on the globe, it’s low at 90 and 270 degrees, so that there is a high and low tide twice daily on 6 hour cycles (out of 24 hours).
These same gravitational pulls also can affect water within growing plants. Rudolph Steiner, the father of 7Binggg/Bonggg
Anthroposophical theorizing, found that plants that need to be juicy-rich with water should be picked when the Moon is overhead, and that plants that are better off drier internally should be picked when the Moon is at the equivalent of a low tide position 6 hours further away in its orbit.
Tomatoes, therefore, should be picked when the Moon is overhead, to keep them juicy, and grapes, which need less water to increase sugar content and make richer wine, should be picked when the Moon is dark!!!
The same gravity effect can also affect humans! There are well-known phenomena related to the FULL
MOON. It so happens that in addition to its own gravity force, the full Moon fully reflects the maximum amount of sunlight, and these combinations and ANGLES of combined Moon and Sun energy have a marked effect on human behavior. Its not hard to imagine that any force that is powerful enough to raise the oceans by 20 feet can also have a powerful effect on the water within the human body.
It’s also not much harder to understand how the other celestial bodies within our solar system, namely the other planets, can exert their gravitational forces and also effect human behavior. THUS is born the subject of Astrology, which is nothing more than the study of human behavior in relationship to the
positioning of the celestial bodies closest to earth.
Now, in order to understand Astrological Theory, one also needs to recognize that magnets have different effects when they are at different angles, moving away or towards each other, and that there are many other factors that are also taken into consideration that are better left for another article.
However, suffice it to say that after keeping track of events for thousands of years, and noting that when a planet such as Mars creates a certain angle in the sky, and people born at certain times GET ANGRY, it isn’t considered rocket science to predict that those same people will get angry the next time earth moves in its known orbit, recreating that same Mars angle.
Many, many more of these same angles and relationships have been studied and codified in books, and now on computers, so that the simple rules of mathematics and physics make astrological predicting a relatively scientific exercise for those that understand the theories involved.
Therefore, those in the know will not travel when Mercury is in a retrograde position in the sky, for fear
of having flight delays, bad weather or lost luggage, and others will pick their tomatoes at the height of the full Moon. Others will simply sit in disbelief and mock those that believe what they can’t themselves comprehend.
In any case, what started as an exercise in xylophone science in high school physics class has hopefully put your author in a position of being an inspiring teacher to others of similar interests.
